The Minor Championships are back and to celebrate, Electric Ireland has teamed up with former Dublin dual star, Conal Keaney, as they look forward to the 2020 Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Championships Finals.
Electric Ireland understands the positive impact partaking in the Minor Championships has long after the championship ends. Despite all the delays and uncertainty over the Minor Championships, Electric Ireland have remained committed to celebrating the return of major moments back into these young player’s lives.
After a long wait, Electric Ireland is delighted that the Minors can again battle it out to be crowned 2020 Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Champions.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Electric Ireland shared many great stories about the wonderful Minors who stepped up and made life-changing contributions to our society. These individuals were spotlighted through the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Special Recognition awards, celebrating their major contribution off-the-pitch. With the return of GAA and the 2020 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Championships, Electric Ireland is once again spotlighting the incredible talent on show in these great championships and proving that there is nothing minor about playing Minor!
Electric Ireland and the GAA will recognise the standout performers in this year’s competition and will announce the 2020 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Hurling Team of the Year and Minor Hurling Player of the Year on July 20th. Followed by the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Football Team of the Year and Minor Football player of the Year on July 26th.
Throughout the championships Electric Ireland have also been identifying the standout performers each week by asking fans to vote for their Electric Ireland Player of the Week on Twitter.
Speaking about the finals, Sarah Sharkey, Brand, PR and Sponsorship Manager at Electric Ireland stated: “Electric Ireland is looking forward to the Minor All-Ireland Championship Finals. The panels have had to deal with so much adversity since the pandemic began in March of last year and we are delighted that they will finally have the chance to complete the 2020 Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Championships over the coming weeks. While Electric Ireland is delighted to have spotlighted some of these young people for their off the pitch achievements, it is great to be able to watch them showcase their talent on the pitch once again.”

The Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Championships are always an excellent showcase of upcoming talent and are often where some of the biggest names in GAA make their mark as young players. I look forward to once again seeing these young people excelling on the field of play.”
Speaking about the Finals, Dublin’s Conal Keaney said: “I am thrilled that the Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Championships Finals are back and will be played over the next two weeks. There is no doubt that these four teams have been so resilient in the way that they have dealt with a season like no other. My minor career helped to develop me as a person in terms of both leadership & dedication and there is no doubt that this year’s crop of Minor players have shown these qualities throughout this long season.”
