What is my MPRN and where can I find it?

What is MPRN?

MPRN is your Meter Point Reference Number and is unique to your home. It identifies your connection to the national electricity network. MPRN is a unique 11 digit number and starts with digits 10.

When will I need my MPRN?

You will need your MPRN if you are moving into a new home or when switching to Electric Ireland.

Where can I find my MPRN?

MPRN is not displayed on your electricity meter. Instead, you can find your MPRN number one of the following ways:

  • on the front of your latest electricity bill, or
  • ask your landlord, agent or previous owner, or
  • by contacting ESB Networks
