Attic Insulation

Installing ceiling insulation will make you long-term savings and improve the comfort of your home. It can help you to reduce your heating bill by up to 35%**. Work completed on your home can also qualify for an SEAI grant and our Energy Efficiency Incentive.

Ceiling Level Insulation

This is the most common insulation solution for homes with a pitched roof and an attic space. It involves laying insulation across the attic floor.

If you use your attic for storage, then a new storage platform can be installed above the new insulation. An Insulation specialist can advise you on storage solutions for your attic space.

Rafter Level Insulation

This insulation is fitted between the rafters of the roof. It provides a warm attic space but is usually more expensive to install. Ceiling-level and rafter-level insulation can be used together where an existing attic space is converted.

Flat Roof Insulation

Flat roofs can be insulated from outside or within. In most cases, installing insulation with new plasterboard slabs and a vapour control layer on the underside of the existing ceiling is the easiest solution.

The typical cost of roof level insulation will vary depending on the size of area to be covered and the type of roof. There is a potential SEAI grant of up to €200** for the work, when you complete it in conjunction with another measure.
