Competition 20: 14th January 2025 to 14th February 2025 - Original Irish Hotels

Terms & Conditions

  1. Prize entitles one lucky winner to win a €500 voucher for Original Irish Hotels. 
  2. There is one prize to be won. 
  3. Competition is open to existing Electric Ireland customers in the Republic of Ireland. 
  4. Competition is not open to employees of ESB.
  5. Entry is made by logging into your Electric Ireland account, clicking the competition banner, selecting the correct answer on the competition page and submitting your entry. All customers will be given the option at this point to consent to receiving marketing communications (including electronic communications). This step is optional for customers and is not a term of entry for this competition.
  6. A customer can only enter once from one account. 
  7. Competition entries must be made by 14th February 2025.
  8. Prize vouchers will be delivered by mail or email/digital format depending on the prize. 
  9. The winner will be notified by phone or email.
  10. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted, or should the prize remain unclaimed for 5 days, it will lapse, and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner in accordance with Rule 12 of these Terms and Conditions.
  11. The prize must be taken as offered. No cash alternative is permitted.
  12. The winner of the competition may be asked to take part in publicity or promotional activity associated with the competition the publication and use of their name, photograph and/or photography of installation and/or the display of their names and location (e.g. Mary from Navan) on the Electric Ireland website and social media channels.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Promotion and/or these Terms and Conditions of the Promotion at any time and for any reason.
  14. Entry into this competition will be deemed to be a full and unconditional acceptance by the applicant of the terms and conditions of this competition.
  15. The promoter is Electric Ireland, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9. Electric Ireland is a division of the Electricity Supply Board.
  16. Entrants must be 18 years or over.
  17. The decision of the Promoter will be final, and no correspondence shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given. 

     

    Data Protection 

     

  18. Data collected for this Promotion will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and not for any other purpose.  
  19. Data collected from competition entrants will be stored on secure servers for no longer than 90 days. Data used for the competition to identify competition entrants will be deleted once a winner is selected and once that winner has confirmed their acceptance of that prize.
  20. Data belonging to competition winners will be used to contact them in relation to the prize and to administer the prize. Data will be held in accordance with the Electric Ireland Privacy Policy.
  21. Data collected for marketing consent will be stored on a secure server and will be retained in accordance with data protection law and the Electric Ireland Privacy Policy unless withdrawn by the customer.   
  22. Customers can opt-out of receiving marketing communications at any time. The option to unsubscribe is included in all marketing communications. Customers can also opt out by ringing the call centre or logging into their online account.   

     

    Governing Law and Jurisdiction  

     

  23. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law and the Courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
