Billing & Business Online Understanding My Bill

Why did I receive an estimated electricity or gas bill?

ESB Networks is responsible for reading your electricity meter.

Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for reading your gas meter.

Both service providers will attempt to read your meter four times a year. This means that two of your bills will be based on estimated readings each year.

It is also possible that when an ESB Networks or Gas Networks Ireland representative calls to your premises they may not gain access to your meter. In this case, you will also receive an estimated bill.

You can submit your meter reading here.
