Moving out of your premises and into new premises
If you are leaving your existing premises and will no longer be responsible for the electricity or gas charges, and moving into a new premises you can simply complete our Move out / Move in online form.
If you have an unmetered electricity supply such as public lighting or an electric fence then please call us on 1800 372 787 (Mon to Fri 09.00 to 17.30) to complete your transfer-of-account.
If the gas or electricity supply is disconnected in the new premises
Then you should contact Electric Ireland by phone at 1800 372 787 (Mon to Fri 09.00 to 17.30) or email with the following information:
- Your name
- Your address
- Contact telephone number
- GPRN for gas*
- MPRN for electricity**
- Payment details
- Company Registration Office number (If applicable)
Notes:
- *Please call Gas Networks Ireland at 1800 464 464 if you have a gas supply but you do not have your GPRN
- ** Please call ESB Networks at 1800 372 757 if you don't have your MPRN
- If the electricity supply is disconnected for six months or more you must provide ESB Networks with an ETCI Completion Certificate from your electrical contractor.
New connection – Gas
Contact Gas Networks Ireland at 1800 464 464 to apply for a new gas connection
Then you should contact Electric Ireland by phone at 1800 372 787 (Mon to Fri 09.00 to 17.30) or email with the following information:
- Your name
- Your address
- Contact telephone number
- GPRN
- Payment details
- Company Registration Office number (If applicable)
We will then register you as a customer of Electric Ireland for gas.

New connection – Electricity
Contact ESB Networks at 1800 372 757 to apply for a new electricity connection.
Then you should contact Electric Ireland by phone at 1800 372 787 (Mon to Fri 09.00 to 17.30) or email with the following information:
- Your name
- Your address
- Contact telephone number
- MPRN
- Payment details
- Company Registration Office number (If applicable)
You will then be registered as a customer of Electric Ireland for electricity.
