Electric Ireland supplied Businesses with enough green energy to power 500,000 homes in 2019

Over the last 12 months, Electric Ireland have committed to supply more green energy than ever before to our business customers. In 2019, we have delivered around 2.2 TwH of green energy to our business customers, the equivalent amount of electricity would power 523,000 homes.

Discussing our latest green energy customer, Cork Airport, Dermot McArdle, Head of Business Markets for Electric Ireland, said: “We are committed to assisting businesses in meeting their sustainability objectives through significant changes to 100% green electricity. As Ireland’s leading electricity, gas and energy supplier to large energy users, Electric Ireland has proven experience in helping users such as Cork Airport.”
